In today’s video, I’m sharing an easy and delicious Almond Flour Burfi/Katli recipe made with just 5 simple ingredients — no milk powder, no condensed milk, and no need for string consistency!
This soft, aromatic Indian sweet is flavored with saffron and cardamom, making it perfect for Diwali, Raksha Bandhan, or any festive occasion.

🔸 Ingredients:
- 2 cups almond flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- A pinch of saffron
- 3 tbsp ghee
- A pinch of cardamom powder (optional)
🔸 Instructions:
- Heat 1/2 cup water and switch off the flame.
- Add 1/2 tsp saffron and soak for 10–15 minutes.
- In a heavy-bottomed pan, add 1 cup sugar and saffron water (with strands).
- Stir and cook until sugar dissolves; no string consistency needed.
- Add cardamom powder if using.
- Lower heat and gradually add almond flour, mixing well to avoid lumps.
- Cook for 5–6 minutes over medium heat.
- Add 1.5 tbsp ghee in intervals, mix until the mixture leaves the pan sides.
- Let it cool for 5–6 minutes, then add remaining ghee.
- Knead into a soft dough for 2–3 minutes.
- Roll on a greased surface, flatten with parchment and a rolling pin.
- Cut into squares or diamonds.
- Air dry for 15 minutes and enjoy!
