I had already posted recipe for Kori gassi many years before in my blog.It was prepared by our friend’s mom from Mangalore. Please check the recipe and try to prepare it with Neer dosa. You may also have this dosa with any chutney recipes. Our blog also has many chutney recipes, which you will love it for sure.

Notes:
Ingredients:
Serves 3 to 4
- 1 cup – Raw rice
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup – Coconut grated
- 1/2 tsp – Sugar
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
- Oil for making dosa
- Wash and soak raw rice in enough water for 3 to 4 hours or overnight. Drain the water completely and transfer the soaked rice to a blender.
- Add the grated coconut, sugar and very little water, blend into a fine paste. Do not add too much water while grinding. We needed very smooth batter for neer dosa.
- Transfer the batter to a bowl, add enough water to bring it to running consistency like rava dosa and also add enough salt, mix well thoroughly. Now neer dosa batter is ready, no fermentation is needed for this recipe.
- Heat a tawa, take one ladleful of batter and spread by swirling the tawa. Drizzle ½ tsp of oil on the sides.Cover with a lid and cook until it is well done, no need to flip this dosa. It is usually served with Kori gassi (chicken curry). You may serve hot with any chutney of your choice.
- Batter consistency should be running like rava dosa.
- Always mix the batter before making dosa, as the rice in the batter will settle down so quickly.
- Do not flip this dosa like our regular dosa. Cover with a lid for even cooking.
- Do not ferment this dosa batter, dosa should be prepared immediately after making batter.
