Air-Fried Vegetable Cutlet

Crispy and yummy cutlet in Air fryer prepared with potato, corn and green peas. You may add any vegetables of your choice.


Ingredients: Yields around 10 to 12 cutlets (depends on the size)
  • 2 medium - Potato
  • 1/2 cup - Green peas (frozen)
  • 1/2 cup - Corn (frozen)
  • 1 no - Onion (chopped finely)
  • 1 tsp - Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - Curry leaves chopped finely
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds/jeera
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1tsp - Red chilli powder (or add as needed)
  • 2 tsp - Coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Garam masala powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Chaat masala
  • 1 tbsp - Coriander leaves for garnishing
  • Pinch of asafoetida
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp - Oil( for sautéing)
  • 1 tsp - Oil (for brushing)
For coating:  
  • 4 to 5 tbsp - Corn flour
  • Water as needed
  • 1/2 to 1 cup - Bread crumps



Preparation method:
  1. Pressure cook potatoes for 1 or 2 whistles or until it is soft enough to mash. Mash the potatoes and set it aside.
  2. Crush the corn and green peas in a blender and set it aside.
  3. Heat a tsp of oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and let it splutter. Add chopped onion, ginger garlic paste, curry leaves and asafoetida, saute until onions change its color.
  4. Add the crushed corn and green peas mix, saute for a minute. Followed by mashed potato, mix well thoroughly.
  5. Now add required salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and finally chaat masala, mix well and cover with a lid. Cook for 3 to 5 mins until the raw smell of masala goes away.
  6. Add coriander leaves and switch off the stove. Allow them to cool completely.
  7. Take a plate, add corn flour, enough water, pinch of salt and pepper(optional), mix well like a slightly watery paste.
  8. Now take a lemon sized ball of potato mixture and make a round/oval shaped patties and dip that in corn flour mixture, followed by bread crumbs. Continue this process with the rest of the potato mixture.
  9. Preheat the air fryer for 3 minutes. Place the prepared cutlets in air fryer mode for 5 minutes. brush with oil and once again air fryer it for 5 or more minutes until the cutlets are slightly golden brown in color. Air fried yummy cutlets are ready to serve.
